Cross Country

Graduate Rachel Boudreau (Westport, Mass./Westport) collects her first Soaring Falcon honor of the year after posting Fitchburg State's top performance at the MASCAC Championships this past weekend.

Boudreau led the Fitchburg State women's cross country team to a fifth place finish overall, posting the Falcons best time of 20:59 in the 5K layout. The veteran runner finished 15th overall in a rain soaked course, while leading the Falcons in overall scoring.

This season, Boudreau has marked herself as the Falcons most consistent runner, putting forth top finishes in five of the Falcons six meets. Boudreau turned in a season-best effort in the Fitchburg State Jim Sheehan Memorial, finishing second overall with a time of 22:26 at Coggshall Park.

The Fitchburg State cross country team will be in action again this weekend as it battles in the highly competitive Alliance Meet on Saturday afternoon.
