Recreation Center
The Recreation Center opened in fall 2000, providing an outlet for the Fitchburg State community to clear their mind, stay in shape and recharge their spirit. The building is a key ingredient of the college-city collaborative effort to rebuild North Street, the college's link with downtown Fitchburg.
The facility is home to Fitchburg State College's Athletic and Recreation Services Department and the Exercise and Sport Science Department. The Men's and Women's Varsity Basketball games take place in the gymnasium.
The building is only a short walk from the heart of campus, serviing as an academic, recreational and social destination for many on campus.
