FALCONS HAVE UNFINISHED BUSINESS IN 2009
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team enters the 2009-2010 season with a surge of momentum. With many key players returning from last season, a strong crop of incoming freshman, and an entirely re-modeled Wallace Civic Center, the Falcons are a team on the rise.

Head Coach Dean Fuller is entering his 26th season behind the bench for the Falcons. With the team entering a new conference, the MASCAC, Fuller has his sights set on a conference championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
"Moving into the new MASCAC conference is exciting," says Fuller. "Competing against conference opponents three times throughout the year will certainly lend itself to some intense matchups."
The biggest change for Fitchburg State this season is its home ice advantage. The $3.5 million dollar renovation at the Wallace Civic Center provides the team with one of the top DIII ice hockey facilities in New England. New features to the rink include extended player benches, new boards and glass, a new roof, new ice lighting, new ceiling, and new green and gold pant throughout. The locker room has been completely remodeled and a new weight room was completed and located adjacent to the locker room.
