Department of Athletics is actively looking to fill vacant position

FITCHBURG, Mass. (December 1, 2009) - Fitchburg State College has announced the resignation of men's soccer head coach, Steve Naboicheck. The announcement was made this afternoon by Sue Lauder, Director of Athletics and Recreation Services at the College.

Naboicheck, a former semi-professional soccer player for the New York Cosmopolitan League, departs after elevating the Fitchburg State program in the NCAA Division III level. Throughout his tenure, Naboicheck coached several MASCAC All-Conference players, including six over his last two seasons. In addition to his conference achievements, Naboicheck also developed his players in the classroom, coaching the lone MASCAC recipient of the prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-East Region Scholar Athlete Award.

Fitchburg State is currently accepting applications for its vacant coaching role and will continue its search until the position is filled.
