Rick Terrio: Head Coach (Third Season; 11-18)

Rick Terrio is in his third season as the head coach of the Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team.

In only his second season at helm, Terrio led the Falcons to a program record six wins, including a 3-4 mark in the highly competitive New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA). Throughout his tenure, he has coached five, All-Conference players, including the 2009 NEWLA Rookie of the Year.

Prior to Fitchburg State, Terrio played a major role in shaping the North Middlesex Youth Lacrosse program, launching the boys division in 2000 and the girls division in 2002. In combination with being the Director of North Middlesex Girls Youth Lacrosse from 2002-07, Terrio has also coached the in prestigious Bay State Games, compiling one gold medal, one silver medal and three bronze medals over the past six seasons.

In addition to his coaching duties, Terrio has served a secretary of the Mass Bay Girls Lacrosse League, the largest youth lacrosse league in the country. He has consistently led his team to winning seasons and has worked tirelessly to promote the sport of lacrosse in the state of Massachusetts.

Terrio currently resides in Pepperell, Mass with his wife Laurie, son Patrick (19) and daughter Bonnie (16).

Emily Butler
Title: Assistant Coach

Emily Butler is in her third season as the assistant coach of the Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team.

Butler, a 2002 graduate of Fitchburg State, was a four-year member of the Falcon's field hockey team. In a solid sophomore season, Butler registered 15 total points (18th in LEC) on six goals (two game-winners) and three assists. For her efforts, she was named to the Massachusetts State College Athletic Association All-Conference second team.

Over the course of the past five years, Butler has participated in various high school camps and clinics within the Fitchburg area.

She currently resides in Fitchburg, Mass.
